In April, importing crude oil of China increased 13.6%

China imported 16.17 million tons of crude oil (3.93 million baskets/day) in April 2009, rising 13.6% compared to the same time last year. Whereas, exporting diesel oil of China rose to the second consecutive record level in April 2009, and exporting petrol of China increased. The domestic demand couldn't recover as the estimate. In details, exporting diesel oil rose over 100,000 tons compared to 510,000 tons of March, exporting petrol rose double (at 310,000 tons) which was far from the initial estimate of the experts. Exporting petroleum of China rose 15% in April 2009 compared to that of March 2009; whereas, the import of this country decreased, making China become the net exporting country of about 80,000 tons in April. However, importing the material rose about 2.5 million tons compared to 2.232 million tons in March 2009.
