With plan to gain 11.5 billion USD in textile export in 2009, increasing 5% compared with last year in 2009, Vietnam garment and textile sector still hopes to maintain and develop its operation in spite of recent difficulties. According to the report of Vietnam Garment and Textile Association, most main export market of Vietnam Garment enterprises, such as America, EU,...decreased due to the spreading world economic depression. This made the number of export contracts decreased. Besides, on domestic market, some garment products of Vietnam are competed drastically with Chinese commodities market. With above difficulties, the association has tried to stabilize jobs and income for workers. Moreover, one of the first solutions is to defend by products and market shares in combination with the improvement of capacity, quality and fee. In addition, it is necessary to invest in new products and market share if having conditions.
